Washabelle Review

Kids grow up fast, outgrowing pretty much everything at an alarming rate. Sleep habits of children will vary from time to time, and all it takes is one unwanted incident to ruin a mattress.

There are so many intricacies to be considered while selecting a children’s mattress. So how do you figure out which one suits your needs? In this guide, we’re going to highlight a special product that is worth checking out.

Washabelle introduced washable memory foam mattress for kids, the first of its kind. A zip-able modular mattress created with foam layers that will fit in a normal washer and dryer. With this product, the days of hassle, necessity and added expense of replacing a ruined mattress will surely take a backseat.

Let’s check it out:

Characteristics

Washing and drying

The washabelle mattress can be completely washed and dried at home. You just need to unzip it and wash each component separately. However, it’s crucial that you don’t use any bleach while washing. Also, washing machines WITHOUT agitators are highly recommended. The washabelle is extremely sturdy, but not indestructible. Use cold water and then tumble dry it on “low”.

Washable Zip Top Cover

The washabelle is made of durable preshrunk polyester ticking, which is quilted with fluffy batting made up of Rayon. A heavy-duty brass-zipper firmly attaches the top cover of the mattress to the bottom cover.

Washafoam (Washable memory foam)

It comprises of two identical Washafoam comfort layers which are interchangeable. The layers are lightweight, with thickness of 1.5 inches and allow deep airflow. They are made of open-celled memory foam, which is further protected by a two-way stretch of polyester mesh. It’s open cell structure embodies the gentleness of any luxury foam but may not withstand repeated washing and drying.

Washable Zip Out Breathable Waterproof Protector

The mattress has a layer of waterproof, breathable barrier fabric underneath that protects the 6” Washafoam base. It resembles a sheet and is easy to toss into the washer or dryer. However, the structure is a stark difference with a sheet, with billions of pores per square inch that blocks water to pass through, but allows air to breeze in. The WashaTex technology halts moisture, even when the bed is wet.

Easy set up

The mattress is extremely easy to set up and move. All you need is to pick it up and transfer it into the washer or dryer.

Aesthetics

It oozes a warm and cozy feeling, perfectly balanced between firm and plush. It provides the right support that a growing body needs, with added benefit of a comfortable padding for a deep and dreamy nap.

Foam Base

The supportive layer at the bottom is 6 inches of premium quality conventional foam. This layer is protected from being soiled by a zip out breathable waterproof layer. However, this layer is not machine washable and dryable.
